Hi Craig,

The only other time I have seen the issue you are having is when a snapshot does still exist but cannot be seen in the VI client. It could be worth checking your datastore for the existence of a snapshot for the VM. I saw this a few times in ESX 3.5 but havent seen it in vSphere yet.

Hi Craig,

You cannot resize a disk if it has snapshots. These must be deleted (committed) before you can adjust the size of a vmdk.

Hmm,

I have a similiar issue (vi client edit disk size greyed out); but the controller is already a scsi. I can resize other machines no problem - and they're all configured the same.

Dear JJ,
I have Windows 7 op system now.I managed to follow all the instructions to the point of selecting the Network Adaptor, using UPGRADE WIZARD. The 2 items showing are ATHEROS AR9285 802.11 b/g/n Wi Fi Adapter or REALTEK P CLE GBE FAMILY CONTROLLER. I don't know which I should choose as both don't look like the right option to me.
I get the same message after choosing either of them; COULD NOT GET SYSTEM INFORMATION CORRECTLY. PLEASE EXIT UPGRAGE UTILITY AND EXECUTE Rm.Drv.exe, WHICH LOCATED IN THE SAME DIRECTORY WITH UPGRADE UTILITY, THEN RUN UPGRAGE UTILITY AGAIN.
I cannot get further than this point. Any suggestions on how to go further?
Thanks very much.
kind regards,
Onnwah

Hi cici. I have just looked and tested what the command that you used above and the syntax is correct. It actually works fine for me! I wonder if there is a problem with the '@' symbol if you have copied/pasted the command? (I have seen issues where the character set appears different when pasting into the command prompt - especially with things like quotes e.t.c)

I assume you have tried typing it all out as well?

I am running this on WinServ 2003, but I keep getting this error:
ERROR: Invalid argument/option - '/q'.
Type "FORFILES /?" for usage.

If I take out the /q, then I'll get
ERROR: Invalid argument/option - '@path'.

I don't see anything wrong with my command. Any idea?

Here's my command:
forfiles.exe /p c:\data\log\ /s /m *.* /d -365 /c "cmd /c del /q @path"

Thanks in advance
