Dear JJ,
I have Windows 7 op system now.I managed to follow all the instructions to the point of selecting the Network Adaptor, using UPGRADE WIZARD. The 2 items showing are ATHEROS AR9285 802.11 b/g/n Wi Fi Adapter or REALTEK P CLE GBE FAMILY CONTROLLER. I don't know which I should choose as both don't look like the right option to me.
I get the same message after choosing either of them; COULD NOT GET SYSTEM INFORMATION CORRECTLY. PLEASE EXIT UPGRAGE UTILITY AND EXECUTE Rm.Drv.exe, WHICH LOCATED IN THE SAME DIRECTORY WITH UPGRADE UTILITY, THEN RUN UPGRAGE UTILITY AGAIN.
I cannot get further than this point. Any suggestions on how to go further?
Thanks very much.
kind regards,
Onnwah

John,

If it were me I wouldn't take the chance. I know some people have mentioned trying it in 'Compatibility Mode' but if you have another computer running Windows XP use that instead.

I've a black Sky Netgear router running with Mac and want to give it to my father (also on Mac) to use with an alternative ISP. How does the reflash work with Mac, please? Thx

Many thanks James for all your valuable help on this.

Can I just say I tried in vain three times and was going to give up (from O2 box to Sky Netgear-my ISP is O2) but on the third attempt it worked!!

I've been wanting to flash the router all week but after reading the many warnings were very nervous and now feel a sense of achievement as it's something I've never attempted before :)

Many thanks again James

Hi James

I have flashed a ex-SKY DG834GT with the latest firmware (1.03.22) I see the router OK & have duplicated the password, logon & settings from my DG834 but it will not connect to my ISP (talktalk).
Any ideas?

Hey Darryl,

It sounds like you have the Netgear DG934 Modem/Router. I believe that someone on the 'skyuser' forums managed to use this guide and found a way to flash the firmware on your router (by changing the firmware filename during the upgrade process.) More info can be found here:
